    2008年11月，以“沟通·合作·共享全球石业财富”为主题的2008首届全球石材经济论坛暨“点石成金、赢在全球”全球石材颁奖盛典将在厦门大幕开启。2008首届全球石材（石木雕刻·园林碑石）经济论坛暨“点石成金、赢在全球”全球石材颁奖盛典也将同期进行。
    此次论坛及颁奖盛典由全球石材产业联盟、中华全国工商业联合会石材业商会、全球石材行业媒体联盟、中国国家商务部政策研究室主办，由全球石材杂志、全球石材买卖网（stoneisp.com）、中国石材商报、 买卖信息、东方之子国际传媒承办，并得到了来自意大利、土耳其、伊朗、印度、日本、韩国、西班牙、德国、葡萄牙、美国、中国香港、中国台湾等国家和地区行业组织的支持。
